An arduous last month of the season, which required the 1st XV to play two games a week in order to clear their fixture backlog, came to an end as Trebanos visited second placed Betws.
Betws knew that a five try victory would see them overhaul leaders Ystradgynlais and take the Division 5 South West title.
With such a tough end to our season, it was no surprise to see injuries and unavailabilities finally taking their toll and despite a brave performance, and two well taken tries, Trebanos were unable to do local rivals Ystrad any favours, Betws eventually running out comfortable winners.
Congratulations to Betws on becoming Division 5 South West champions and Trebanos RFC wishes them well for next year's campaign in Division 4 South West.
Trebanos finished the season comfortably in mid-table in sixth position in Division 5 South West. Bolstered by the addition of several of this year's outstanding Youth XV to next season's squad, and with Rhodri Jones joining current coach Chris Loader's coaching team, Trebanos will be hopeful of an improvement on this position next season.
